About Michael Sharp

Dr. Michael Sharp, Au.D, CCC-A has been a licensed audiologist for 13 years and has been the owner of ASI Beltone since February of 2020. Specializing in Audiology Diagnostics, Hearing Aids and Auditory Processing Disorder he was previously the Audiology Clinic Coordinator at Western Illinois University.

 

Dr. Sharp was awarded the Distinguished Alumni award for the Illinois State University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and is currently the Vice President of Audiological Affairs for the Illinois Speech-Language and Hearing Association. He was also the former president of the Educational Audiology Association and is an EAA Representative on the RUC/CPT Advisory Group.

 

Dr. Sharp loves learning about his patients and hearing about the things they care about. He enjoys helping people communicate better with loved ones and aiding them to enjoy the simple pleasures in life that come with hearing. Dr. Sharp didn’t set out to become an audiologist, he was training to become a Speech Pathologist, fell in love with his audiology courses and switched to the audiology field.

 

Dr. Sharp lives in Bettendorf, Iowa with his lovely wife, Kaysha, and their two sons, Archer and Xander. He enjoys watching James Bond movies and rooting for the Bears and the Red Wings. In his free time, he loves doing home improvement projects. When he was young, he started working for his grandfather’s masonry company and has always enjoyed construction projects.
